The Leupold spotting scope is a true purpose built scope for the sniper, because of its'user profile'lowering shape, small size, lightness, toughness and quality of optics and manufacture. To make it the absolutely perfect observation device for the spotter, the Leupold 12 - 40 x 60mm variable spotting scope has been modified by inserting the'Al' Mil Dot reticle, so the spotter sees exactly what the firer sees (when he is using an Al rifle). This enables the spotter to quickly get the firer on target and estimate ranges etc.The spotting scope is supplied with a robust stand which can be built up for use from the prone, sitting, kneeling or standing position and taken down for easy carriage.
